objective • The quest to re-brand Last Tango Productions started with one instruction, “Please keep the dancing figure in the logo somehow.” With that I set out to create a new and contemporary brand for Last Tango that reflects the strength of their more than 20 years of experience. I developed a solid artistic direction that seemlessly crosses platforms with a style guide that allows for ultimate flexibility no matter what background accompanies it.
The business card was created to minimize Last Tango’s carbon impact. Printed on FSC certified 100% recycled paper with low V.O.C. inks; we created a sustainable card that Last Tango can be proud to hand out at music conferences around the world.
Stage three was the complete overhaul of LastTangoProductions.com. As with the rest of the brand the online profile needed a first class ticket to the 21st century. Knowing that Last Tango staff would be updating the site regularly we set up the framework as a content management system. Customizing all elements to meet the new brand and style guide set the stage for the flurry of content. Training sessions and extensive “How To” documents were provided to ensure a smooth transition once the Last Tango staff took over publishing the new content themselves. Along with the new brand, corporate identity and website came the social media component. A Facebook profile was created and Twitter feed set up and customized to Last Tango’s brand.
With all online elements synchronized, and printed materials in hand, Last Tango Productions was prepped, polished, and proud of their powerful new look.
